Scrap Petal Garden

The Scrap Petal Garden quilt is a beautiful experiment in design theories and machine applique techniques. The pattern is written to make a 68" x 68" throw quilt, but it's construction is flexible to make larger or smaller projects with as many petals as you want. In this class, students will make a quilt top perfectly sized as a table runner or wall hanging, approximately 18" x 40".

Materials Needed

Scrap Petal Garden pattern
Nested Petal Template (#CWQ-PET105)
Fabrics and Heat-n-Bond Light to make the quilt top (see cutting instructions)

All materials are available for purchase at The Cottage. Students get a 10% discount in-store for 7 business days prior to class.

Students must also bring:

All materials and completed pre-work (see cutting instructions)
Fabric scissors
Rotary cutter
Pins
Other notions as desired
Snacks and water

Please note that there is no sewing machine needed for this class. The Cottage will have cutting mats, ironing boards, and irons available for use.

Minimum student enrollment: 2.

Skill Level:	Beginner
Skill Details:	You should be familiar with sewing a 1/4 inch seam and 1/8 topstitching.
