Make a Mondo Bag!
The Mondo Bag comes together so easy. Printed interfacing keeps every piece of fabric in place while you sew along the seam lines. No marking or measuring needed, even for beginners! And for even quicker and easier prep, this bag works great with many precut sizes!
Finished Size: Bag bottom is about 10" square with 15" tall sides. Inside the bag is an interior pocket and a loop for clip-on keychains.
The Cottage will provide:
- 2 Mondo Bag interfacing panels (included in the class fee)
- 1.25 yards fusible fleece (optional add-on to the class fee)
Students must provide:
- Sewing machine and any accessories needed to operate
- Thread and bobbins
- Snacks and water
- 192 fabric squares (2.5" on all sides) for the outer bag body
- 4 fabric strips (2.5" wide x 40-44" long) for the straps
- 1.25 yards fabric for the lining
Helpful fabric notes:
- 16 strips (2.5" x WOF) can make straps and outer bag body. So one Jelly Roll can make two Mondo Bags.
- 48 squares at 5" can make the outer bag body. This is six squares more than a typical charm pack.
- 12 squares at 10" can make the outer bag body. So one Layer Cake can make three outers.
